Tips for Running in the Heat

1) Adjust your expectations - Race Smart! The heat will make your body work harder so it won't have the energy it usually would to channel into your running; be kind to yourself, adjust your targets, start steady and build into the race as your energy levels allow

2) Run with your own water supply, it doesn't need to be a fancy vest, a regular bottle works just as well. Our drink stations are at roughly 5km intervals, but better hydration can be achieved drinking as you go

3) Sunglasses, cap, sun cream - do the basics right! If you are out on the marathon, you may sweat off the sun cream so consider a small bottle than can go in your pocket or running vest

Event Information & On the day sign ups

We have guaranteed spaces on the day for all race distances. Please see the final schedule below for details of waves and start times which are open to on the day sign ups as well as pre registered runners who want to change distance on race day.

Parking is £2/car on the day, please have the exact cash ready. Unfortunately we don't have the ability to take card payments.
