The Chepstow Steeplechase is a super fun day out, all about climbs, crawls, water and mud! These events are for everyone, you don't need to be fit to take part, you just need to be hungry for a laugh and fun times. There is a mix of obstacles to climb over, tunnels to crawl through, water to dip into and run through and mud pits to wade through.
As this event is for all runners, there are no obstacles which require upper body strength; no monkey bars or rings, but if you are fortunate enough to have strong arms, you can still put them to good use on the climbs.
The runners of the Mini Steeplechase have a fantastic race experience, taking on all the same style of obstacles as the 5km and 10km races, just in mini form!
There is a great variety of climbing obstacles on the course; from hay bales, A framed wooden obstacles to inclined obstacles to clamber over the top of. The Mini Steeplechase has the same on offer, just in smaller form, so they get the same race experience.
If in doubt, miss it out. There is no pressure to do any of the obstacles, so if you want to bypass an obstacles, you are very welcome to do so.
We have a tyre crawl, plastic tubing and cargo nets for you to crawl through on your way around the course.
We love the water features on this route, we have ponds to run through and pools of water with obstacles placed within, for you to clamber under and over
If the water obstacles don't get you muddy enough, then our mud pits and obstacles will ensure a healthy coating of mud is achieved by all.
