There is no event currently planned for 2018

Event - 19th March 11:00am

We have a 10km, 5km and kids 500m fun run event. Due to the narrow trails which lead out from the start line, we are starting the race in multiple small waves of just 50 runners. These waves will start every 5mins. If you would like to run with a friend please ensure you register at the same time as we will not be able to adjust waves once registration is complete.

All runners will receive a top quality interlocking medal and they will be presented with our usual buffet of fresh fruit and tasty treats at the finish line.

Venue

Ebbor Gorge is just 10 miles from Cheddar Gorge and is a smaller version of it's big brother, formed under the same conditions over 350 million year ago as glacial melt water cut into the limestone rock

Now this 150 acre site is designated a national nature reserve, owned by the National Trust and managed by Natural England. We are very excited to have the opportunity to hold the first ever running events around this very unique and special location.

Terrain

There is a good mix of terrain from woodland trails, rocky climbs and open fields with great views over to Glastonbury Tor. An all round round trail shoe would be the best option if you have one available.

Facilites

Parking will be at Wookey Hole Caves and costs £3 a car, payable to the Caves. From there there is a 10-15min walk to the race site up a reasonable climb, make sure you leave plenty of time. There is a small car park at Ebbor Gorge but this will be closed for the event as we will be using this space for our start/finish and registration. There will be portaloos and secure bag storage at the event HQ.
