We expect this race to sell out in 2013, after a hugely popular first year in 2012, do register soon to guarantee your place in this not to be missed race!

The National Trust's Lacock Abbey plays host to the second Lacock 10km on the 10th August 2013 at 10am. We are very excited to be teaming up with the National Trust once again to promote our shared values of getting families and friends together to Relish The Great Outdoors.

Please note that whilst the National Trust is playing host to the race, the Lacock Abbey itself is a pay to enter attraction. There is no charge to watch the race in the fields around the Abbey, but please respect the National Trust and other paying visitors by purchasing a ticket to see the many great attractions; the Abbey, Rose Garden, Orchard and Museum.

Lacock 10km

5km & 10km Race Route

Route

The Lacock 10km is the flatest and fastest race in the Relish Running Races 2013 series! An ideal race for the first time 10km runner, but for those of you who have raced with Relish before will have guessed, it won't quite be a PB course ;-)

The race starts in the presence of the stunning Lacock Abbey, heading out across river side fields. Runners need to cross the road in Reybridge, so please take care and listen to the marshals. In the first 1km there are a few stiles to negotiate as the course heads out to the newly refurbished Wiltshire and Berkshire canal.

Here you can pick up the pace along the flat canal tow path. There are great river side and canal side views as runenrs head to the turn around point on the approach to Chippenham, before the route retraces is steps back for a great sprint finish by the side of the Abbey. Please be mindful of other canal users as this route is open to the public.
